Using the KC and Minnesota wins today and not counting Detroit, If KC wins 3 and lose 2 at the all start break, their record would be 51-35 (86 games). Going 41-35 (.540) would get them to 92 wins, They are currently winning at a .593 rate.
Minnesota and Detroit play 4 games against each other before the all star break and Detroit has 2 games with Seattle. If Minnesota splits 2-2, they are 47-41 going into the break would need to go 46-28 (.621) to get to 93 and edge the Royals by a game. Assuming Detroit splits with Seattle and Minnesota before the break (45-43), they will have to go 48-26 (.649) to get to 93 wins. (It's late- think my math is correct.)
An after break run of 10-5 would just about wrap it up. --GO ROYALS !!
