The Royals are still 4 games back in the WildCard standings.
The good news: the Royals have a favorable pitching match-up in all four games at home against Oakland.
For fun, lets assume the Royals sweep the As (4-0)... they will likely pick up 1 or 2 games in the wildcard standings.
Then 4 games at home againt the WhiteSox. (3 & 1)
Then the Royals have a tough 6 game road trip ... 3 at Cleveland and 3 at Detroit.
4 & 2 (or 3 & 3) If the Royals go 3 & 3, hopefully 2 or 3 of the wins are against Detroit.
Then the Royals close out the season with 6 games at home: 3 vs Minn and 3 vs Cleveland.
The Indians will have the division locked up and will be cruising into the end of the season.
Lets say the Royals sweep the Twins (3 & 0) ... and win 2 of 3 against Cleveland (2 & 1).
4 & 0
3 & 1
4 & 2 (3 & 3)
3 & 0
2 & 1
Will 16 & 4 or 15 & 5 secure a WildCard spot ? I believe so.
How about 14 & 6 ? Likely one game short.
Lets Go Royals !
PS> not looking good for Lo Cain.
