The Royals top 3 starters are looking very solid. Duffy has been pitching in the WBC, Kennedy threw great against the Cubs last night and Hammel has shut out the Reds through 5 innings today. Not sold on Vargas but I will give him a chance and same with Karns. Yost/Moore are going to have tough decisions on the roster. All four guys competing for 2nd base are having good springs, the bullpen looks deep, (several tough picks) and some guys like O'Brien (6 HR's), Mondesi, Burns, who weren't expected to make the team are doing a great job. Last November (and after Ventura's tragedy) I wasn't very optimistic, but this team is looking better than I was expecting. Yes, it is only spring training.
