I believe Ned has done some very good things at KC, but he sure provides some head scratchers from time to time. I'm still scratching my head on some of his decisions last Saturday versus the Cardinals.
Having Rios in the 3 hole... the guy hasn't hit squat since he came off the DL.
Not having Moose hit for Colon in the 5th.
Why not pitch hit for Guthrie in the Top of the 5th when it was obvious, that he may only be able to pitch one more inning given his high pitch count (and of course Guthrie gave up the game winning homerun in the 5th).
Etc...etc.
But again, Ned is better than any manager that KC has had for many years.
The Brewers are just what the Royals need to start a new winning streak. "IF" KC plays good ball, they have a very good chance of rattling off 4 in a row against the Brewers. Gain some confidence in their bats and be ready for the Red Sox to come to town.
