I know there are other threads out there... just for discussion because I'm torn.... What do the Roys do here? One game out of Wild Card as of today. Seems many believe trade talks are being put on back burner for now. Have a couple starters coming back in Karns and Duffy. Team looks to be playing a little better recently. Ride the wave and see what happens?
Personally I still want to trade those we won't resign... guess I am just looking to the future. Maybe we find some magic like 2014 and make a WS run. IMO its basically ring or bust when you are losing the core of the team to FA. Just making the playoffs is not enough if there is no future for the team. I think the average fan would rather see the Royals make the playoffs and then forget about them if/when they go back to cellar dweller, whereas I want some sort of sustainability over the longer haul.
