the weekend series with the dodgers was a disaster. the only bright spots Sunday were hoz and Duffy. How many pitchers can say "I batted .5oo against Clayton kershaw when he was the leading pitcher in MLB?' duffy can! Hoz was 3 For 4 with a wall scraper. Other than that Royals good happenings were scarce. Salvy had a timely homer and then Soria and Alexander screwed that up. Kennedy pitched well and hammel gave his usual nail biting, pulling teeth performance. Soler made a great running catch, but couldn`t hit his hat size. On the other side I must admit to a certain prejudice against the national league A. J., but the dodgers have destroyed my way of thinking about the N.L. They have some great pitching, Kershaw the best. However, their japanese pitcher is a real gem. He toys with batters. Turner is a big time power hitter and Seager and Bellinger are very good young players. Dodger stadium, blah! Kind of like what Casey Stengel once said about the park in St. Louis,"It holds the heat well." I don`t think I have ever been that hot and remember it was 117 last week here in Phoenix. Hopefully, the royals can recover and continue upward in the second half. Any questions?
