Anyone want to expand on what they've seen of Mawdo Sallah, in the exhibitions/practices? I realize he's not an overall talent, in this era where more positionless basketball, and "playing small," is being utilized more and more, but is he capable of doing what I'm sure he was brought on for--defending and rebounding against the huge monsters (KU) that some teams will still employ? Also, I'd guess he'd have some troubles in the perimeter pick-n-roll game, being any kind of threat to catch and finish a pass as he dives to the rim, and certainly no pick-n-pop, but does he look like someone that can screen well when our wings curl, like part of Weber's offense uses, and then seal up and receive a low-block pass, like we could do with D. J.? Wade's gotta better at that, too, and not just be a face-up post, but if somebody like Sallah can grind down low, at least a little bit, that would sure be nice.
