We all know Bob and his teams, so I won't go much into the history here. However, I will point out that every 4-5 years Huggins seems to have a reset year or two and this year's team seems to be in that mode. In 2013 he had an awful team and was only slightly better in 14. WVU has used 7 different starting line ups this year and never the same line up more than 3 games in a row. A player started against Texas on Saturday that had played 7 total minutes in 3 games so far this season. Regular starters will have have random games where they play less than 10 minutes. Sagaba Konate is supposedly injured and perhaps could play, but his family is holding him out. Derek Culver is a freshman who was suspended the first 9 games this year because he was late for some meetings and classes, but is back and playing well. Other returners like Bolden, Ahmad, West, and Harler have been somewhat consistent, but missed or played very little in multiple games. That said, this is still a Huggins coached team and that toughness and defensive pressure can turn itself on at any moment, plus they played competitive games against Tech and Texas to start the Big 12 season.

The staples of a good Huggins team seem to be there, on offense hitting the boards and getting to the FT line often and on defense turning people over and defending the paint with a solid eFG% defense. However, they foul like crazy and have slipped in most other areas from WVU's better teams. They turn the ball over a ton and aren't a great shooting team, so those are a couple areas that K-State could take advantage of at home.

I have no idea who will start or who will play the majority of the minutes. Again, guys like Ahmad, Bolden, and West are returners who can be very good players individually. Culver looks like a freshman that can score it well in his limited time so far. We'll see who shows up.

K-State needs to jump out early on a team that may be in more trouble internally than the Wildcats. Its very early in the Big 12 schedule, but this is nearly a must win game in my book. WVU is a tough defense and they will fight, but K-State is due to have a good shooting game; I think they do and the Cats get things turned around a bit going into a 2 game road stretch.
