Either there's another domino to fall - Nigel Shadd is leaving
-OR-
the K-State coaches must believe Nigel can be a Power 5 player.

Nigel Shadd is interesting.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Shadd was injured when the season began (after receivng a medical hardship waiver in the previous year).
In short, Nigel has a very small sample size as far as time on the floor due to injuries.

"IF" the coaches do not think Nigel has potential... why not encourage Nigel to leave instead of Austin Trice (assuming Trice was encouraged to move on... perhaps Austin wanted to move on ??).

Gordon and Murphy will join the team this summer, one or both couild be a year away from contributing. It would just make more sense to have Trice for another year (versus Shadd).
I thought Trice was showing a little bit of promise at the end of the season (I'm not saying a lot of promise, but some).

Again, I haven't heard much about Shadd, he's been plagued by injuries, but unless I'm misreading the tea leaves (very possible...ha), the coaches must expect good things from Nigel.
Perhaps the surprise player of 2019/20 won't be a new-comer, but rather Nigel Shadd (or not..ha).

On another note: hopefully James Love will improve and be able to contribute off the bench.
With his 6'11" height and wingspan, I would like to think that James could help protect the room and secure some rebounds. His progression has been slow at best.
