Nice looks at our QB Gabe Ortega, who camped at KSU last June. Still hopeful Gabe will show that he is deserving an offer from our coaches. Henry Hattis who committed to Stanford earlier this week is the big #77, playing right tackle. #2 Marcus Williams is one of my favorite kids, has potential at WR, safety and basketball.
My son is #40 on the sideline. He is second-string outside LB. Had a couple of good plays, but unfortunately, had one missed tackle, when he was on the edge that really upset the coaches. It was a missed opportunity for him. I hope he keeps his head-up and keeps chopping-wood, as Coach likes to say. He is much improved. He worked hard this summer and is bigger-faster-stronger. He added 20-25 lbs this summer and increased his speed. He is behind a good player though, #44 Roope Henry. Roope is one of the team leaders, great kid.
