gregg easterbrook always had a column heading titled "stop me before i blitz again" about teams calling blitzes in obvious situations because thats what coaches do and how easy it is to counter obvious blitzes....
and i couldn't help but think that was something that was going on yesterday... It forced a couple of errant passes for sure.. and picked up a few sacks... but it also exposed the young safeties quite a bit and forced some soft coverages...... but they were so obvious....
on the flip side.. K-state still ranks 77th in sack percentage in 2015.. so it's not like it's working that well... or that the d-line is getting to the ball without extra help...
i'm not meaning this to be a critical post/thread... it's more of a question... is this is a good thing? can they do better? should they disguise them?
