WV has a D-back, Karl Joseph, that could have been drafted but opted to come back for his senior year.
The article noted that WV returns 15 defensive players that have starting experience.

The mountaineers should have a good to decent defense given the number of players returning with starting experience. That said, WV had an average at best defense last season: #66 total defense, #72 scoring defense.
K-State had the #42 total defense & # 29 scoring defense in 2014

Like K-State, the Mountaineers must replace their starting QB.
WV had the #9 passing offense in 2014 and the #34 scoring offense.
K-State had the #16 passing offense and the #24 scoring offense (# 24 despite have a bad rushing offense).

If K-State was traveling to Morgantown, it could be a real tough game, but fortunately, the CATS have the neers at home (not that the game won't be tough in Manhattan too).

GO STATE !
