and 3-1/2 to 4 hour games! I hanker for those days back when there was no play reviews.

Simply cannot understand why they continue to stop play for 30-60 seconds or more, then announce the play will be reviewed as they go to commercial. So many plays merit no review whatsoever, I.E., DJ's pick. He clearly possessed the ball, fumbled forward out of bounds. The zebras should know the ball is placed back to the point of the fumble. Spot the damn ball, start the friggn play & game clock and move on.
In the "pre-play review" days ( before 2005 or so) we'd be back home in Topeka after a KSU game in 4-4-1/2 hours after Kick Off now it's more like 5-1/2 TO 6.
Finally got home (8:15) last evening tuning into the OU/ TCU game only to see/hear OU fumble,--- the player clearly being down----recovering his own fumble 1 yard ahead of fumble spot but Larry, Moe and Curly decided to review the play. The Fox broadcast crew rightfully blistered the B12 crew and their poor judgement.

Unless they stop this insanity, they need to do one or more things to speed up NCAA games such as;
1) use NFL timing rules--- incl not stopping clock for 1st downs.
2) do not stop clock on incomplete passes and any out-of-bounds plays until 4 minute mark of 2nd & 4th quarters.
3) one of the three timeouts should be a 30 second TO.
4) use the same review policy (turnovers, scoring plays, targeting) & "challenge" rules as NFL uses.
