... these days, here are a few more topics for discussion:
1. If Ertz is healthy all year, do we end up better than 7-5? Worse? Same?
2. If Skylar starts all year, do we end up better than 7-5? Worse? Same?
3. I was re-watching the WVU game from 2012 the other day, when we were #4 in the nation. Aside from enjoying the abundance of numbers we were putting up on offense, I was struck by the talent we had on defense at that time -- A. Brown, Zimmerman, Tuggle, M. Williams, etc. Are our current defensive issues due to an inability to recruit well, or is it more due to Hayes' defensive schemes? Or both? Is it possible our current philosophy on D -- bend, don't break, blah blah blah -- is simply the best we can do with what we've got?
4. Was Dimel also the primary play caller in 2012? Are our current issues with the offense due to... a.) lack of talent; b.) lack of creativity; c.) a poor understanding of how to use the players we have; d.) injuries; e.) all of the above; f.) something else entirely?
5. If Bill Snyder says Sean is ready to be the head coach at a P5 school, is there any doubt? (Sorry, just channeling former UP Jon Wefald there for a sec. I'm firmly in the "It's time for LHCBS to step down" camp, and that Sean needs head coaching experience elsewhere before possibly coming back to Manhattan.)
