A lot of posts here remind me of a game I watched on the 10 foot screen at a Wildcat watch party at Zipps, here in Glendale, AZ, last year. This dude, from California, made a stupid comment after each and EVERY play. Nothing the players, or coaches, did was right. I could tell he must have been a coach, at a high level, sometime along the way. So.....I asked him, "How long did you coach football, and where?" His reply....."Oh, I didn't coach, but I was in the K-State band". That's when I noticed he did indeed have a cap on with the band insignia. Heck, I was in the K-State band, but that gives me as much credibility for knowing football as would the librarian....the latter maybe more as they may read up on the sport!
Given the fact that hindsight is always, they say 20-20, I'm quite willing to give the first game a pass. I feel somewhat comfortable that we did make some good plays, even put the scare in the #8 team for awhile. Sure, we can all see plays that failed. I'm betting these next two weeks won't be spent chasing Pokemon, but will correct obvious errors.
Chill out! I spend quite a lot on supporting the sports programs at K-State as do many of you.....and I will continue doing so. We have a GREAT school, in all aspects, with improvements made constantly.
