Okay, well, after still feeling terrible about everything yesterday, I convinced myself what we saw in the OSU first half across the board was an inevitable regression of sorts. We played three games in a way that inspired belief that we are a Top 15-20 team. We aren't that. Got it.
We also aren't so bad that the comedy of errors we saw on Saturday will keep happening. Shit just fell apart. Happens sometimes. Ask the Chiefs.
So, we're somewhere in the middle of that this year ... a competitive, 7'ish win team that can flirt with the Top 25 and top half of the Big 12 - especially with Skylar coming back (providing he finishes the season) and leaning on a reasonable defense and usually reasonable running game.
We took a huge step back on Saturday and got a Big 12-level wakeup call... and now we find ways to start moving forward again while controlling what we can control.
Let's go.
