I believe most on here are so bent on their partisanship they refuse or won't see the trees for the forest.
We could turn the clock back toward human liberty by doing one simple thing: limiting the terms of representatives and senators to just two for the House and one for Senate with NO pensions. They must participate in the Social Security system like the rest of us. Also, they should have same access to medical system as everyone else.
There should be NO privilege associated with elected office. Of course, this will not happen because the ones that could change it are the beneficiaries and they vote their own pay raises.
In reality, but not by propaganda, it is a one party system and now the entire government is infested with narcissistic psychopaths who will not relinquish power, accumulated over decades. The one party monolithic monster has brainwashed us to believe 3rd parties or independents are of no value. A "party" system is not even Constitutional, but that document doesn't hold much sway any longer unless it benefits some politician's agenda.
