There was a time Snyder closed up the state of Kansas in football recruiting (made it a priority) , True Statement?
To clarify what I am saying, there was a time when Bill Snyder seemed to pull in the majority of top 10 Kansas kids and made them his priority on the recruiting trail. I think he always struggled to land the occasional 4*/5* number 1 kid in Kansas if he ever did land them, but those top 10 kids high 3* on down, if he wanted them, he seemed to make a priority to try and land them. Memory makes me say, it feels most years he landed the majority of those top kids beating out ku, and losing those 4*s 5*s to ou or some other big time Power 5 school.
It feels like now, we have lessened our desire to close up these Kansas kids on the top 10 list. Is that a fair statement? I know you can't land them all, and there are just some kids who want to experience the world and nothing K State says will convince them to come, but it feels there was a time if BS wanted you, he convinced you to come. AND Maybe I am all wet and that never was the case.
