I'm curious to see what others thoughts are about Snyder's recruiting philosophy moving forward. We all know LHCBS past history with JUCO recruits and how they've played such an important role in the success of the program.
However, with other schools recent uptick in JUCO recruiting, leaving K-State with less of a chance at the best players, it seems the JUCO players Snyder has landed most recently haven't panned out. The players that have stuck around typically only contribute one year.
Fast forward to 2015 recruiting, and K-State only signs one JUCO Defensive End, the lowest amount in Snyder's History?
My guess is a combination of 3 things: A. Snyder has given up on chasing the JUCO players who sign with the SEC (similar to the high profile HS recruits) and the lower tier JUCO players left over that don't pan out. B. Snyder is building depth for his predecessor C. Snyder is altering his philosophy now that he has built decent depth. He's going after the previously unobtainable HS recruits that bigger schools are now skipping over for higher profile JUCO kids. Basically doing a 180 from his previous approach to recruiting.
Your thoughts?
