The head coach can't be doing that. The head coach is the lieutenant, the captain of the ship. When the shit hits the fan, your men are looking to you and only to you. If they see you losing your composure, they're going to lose theirs. It's a failure of leadership. I understand and respect the heck out of how much he cares about his players, but as a leader, you have to hold it together.
Now, I think he acquitted himself well by eventually rallying the troops and getting the win. I've soured on the solid verbal guys a little bit, but as they say, you gotta win your clunkers. Well, they did. There's no way last year's team wins that game. You can work with an ugly 2-0.
