The timing would be good to retire now, with so much coming back in 2018 for a new staff. However, with so many players graduating next year, it would probably be less than ideal to bring in a new coach for 2019, particularly if next year produces more wins than this year, which might raise expectations for the new regime.

So, with that being said, if Snyder does not retire this year, are we looking at maybe after the 2019 season?

The timing really is pretty good right now for him to go ahead and call it a day.
