just added another glorious statistic to their downtrodden football program. A direct quote out of an ESPN article today wrapping up the bowl game schedule for this year:

"With New Mexico State, UAB and Florida Atlantic going bowling, the longest active bowl streak now belongs to Kansas, whose last appearance in a bowl game was the 2008 Insight Bowl."

Here is the list of hard cold 'facts' the Jayhawks carry out on the recruiting trail and into next season:

1. 46 game road losing streak, the longest in the history of college football
2. 3-33 overall record under the current head coach
3. 1 Big 12 win in the three seasons under the current head coach (1-26 overall in Big 12)
4. Longest current bowl drought in college football at 9 years

That is some great stuff to put in front of recruits and their families!!!!... and student body, financial donors, alumni and general fans to generate interest and sell tickets!!!!!
