The Hokies elect to play tOSU and got hammered at home. (Yes, I realize who won last year.) While the Cats played a cream puff and no one noticed.
I ask this particular question because I see Virginia Tech and K-State as being very similar programs - not elite but upper tier - with the ACC's Clemson, SEC's South Carolina, PAC's Arizona State and independent BYU. ASU got embarrassed as well.
Anyway, I believe, today, K-State is in far better shape than Tech, even though both lost their quarterback. Kids get a win under their belt. VT licks it's wounds now for a week waiting to play Furman. Although I like big time openers, I don't like having our guys participate. Today, K-State is in a better position for passing.
