Nothing substantial, just some K-State related recruiting stuff I've come across recently.
WR Makai Cope (CA) - an article posted Tuesday on 247 identifies ASU, USC, Michigan, K-State, and Northwestern as the schools Cope has consistently expressed the most interest in but goes on to note that those first three appear to be full at his position. It also mentions that Utah is aggressively pursuing him and may be a factor.
DL Mandela Tobin (CA) - came across this article posted last week featuring an interview with Tobin about his workout routine and updating his recruitment. He received his 4th P5 offer from Duke on Tuesday. Earlier today Jon Kirby posted an article discussing Tobin's social media campaign to petition the NCAA to reconsider it's extension of the dead period prohibiting official visits. K-State was included in the top 5 he named in early September but it's not clear that we're still actively pursuing him at this point, and we were perceived to be behind Nebraska and KU anyways.
DE Parker Petersen (TN) - this accomplished wrestler (2-time state runner-up) has nice size (6-6 230) and has had a strong start to his senior season. He holds a collection of FCS offers but no FBS. This article posted Tuesday details that strong start and makes it clear that K-State is his top school among those in contact with him, which do include some other P5s. Our recruiting staff sent him this personalized edit last week.
DE Keith Cooper (TX) - nothing new here except that he posted a graphic from K-State earlier today, showing that we have not dropped contact with him entirely. He tweeted similar stuff from Minnesota, Indiana, Houston, Mississippi, Boston College, and Illinois.
LB Nick Martin (TX) - old news, but Oklahoma St offered him a couple of weeks ago and the predictions/crystal balls have been flowing in their favor ever since. I think we were in a final three along with Cal, but Krew Jackson's commit probably changed our approach to Martin.
