With the Spring Game on Saturday, I've started looking into the 2016 recruiting situation that will take place in KC. So far, from what I've gathered, it's going to be a quiet weekend.

I'm sure there will be more names that come about between now and then, but as of this moment, all I can confirm is that Nick Lenners will be there. Sounds as though he's very solid with his choice still.

Obviously A.J. Taylor is a hot, local name many hope to be at Sporting Park, but for one reason or another he is not expected to attend. Please don't read too much into that (i.e.- 'Why aren't we recruiting him anymore?!' etc.) Kansas State is still in pursuit and A.J. is still interested, he just isn't supposed to be there. I can try to find out the reason here shortly.

Another area player high on K-State's wish list is Skylar Thompson. He told me yesterday that he was ready to be at the game until his family found out the news that his grandfather will be inducted into the Missouri Coaches Hall of Fame in Springfield on Saturday. He and his family will be at that ceremony instead now.

One other prospect of note who I know was invited and K-State was extremely eager to talk to one-on-one was Noah Jones. Like Thompson, he was all set to attend until realizing that Southmoore's prom is that evening. So, unfortunately, he'll be a no-go as well.

Like I said, I'm looking into more names this week. I'm sure there will be recruits there, the question is how many of them are serious targets for this class.
