At DE I continue to feel like Tanner Wood doesn't get enough credit. Fitz mentioned someone needs to step up opposite of Reggie Walker. Everyone realizes that Wood, not Walker, was the starter opposite Willis right? Also, Fitz listed the starters as Ball or Wood. Wood will start.
I also don't see how O-line doesn't get an A. Last year had four new starters and Risner moving to a new position. It took them a little while to gel, but they were playing great by the end of the year. Here are the rushing stats for the final seven games:
Texas A&M 218, TCU 336, KU 342, Baylor 237, OSU 345, Iowa St. 247,Texas 234
That's 1,959 yards rushing in 7 games or 280 yards per game. That's a big number. 4/5 are back and Mitchell has starting experience. We've quietly developed quality, yet admittedly unproven, backups. I really like this unit.
