We're at mid May and summer is quickly approaching. We have a new coach, a new system and many new players. YOU are the common denominator and link to the program momentum building over decades. The chair that will be filled by a handful of different coaches in most of our lifetimes, is filled by a man that deserves to have his efforts assisted by the energy that BSFS brought against USC, Nebraska, RG3 Baylor etc.

When Nicholls State leaves the stadium and gets on their miserable Arrow Bus to head back to Thibodaux LA, their feeling needs to be reminiscent of feelings evoked by viewers of "The Red Wedding Scene" from game of thrones. Trips to Manhattan KS to play football should leave all programs envious of our fanbase and program. It's time to put the Mickey mouse stuff aside. No more Bruce Weber meme threads. No more "How Much Ya Bench". None. We need focus on Nicholls. Who is their punter? Who is their QB? Is this his/her first start? If you don't know the answers to these right now, don't fret as we have a couple months that need focus on who we are before we focus on them.

Some of you might go to church today if thAt is your thing. That's ok. Most of you will probably get dragged by your wife all day. I'm not judging what you do. KState football is more than a symbol. It's who we are. It's inside of us. It is infinite. You can't kill it. Any efforts against it only empower it. Stop trying to mask this with layers of trivial bull shit. If you don't want to go to Kansas Sampler and start a fight from time to time, you don't get it. Yet.

I declare it officially football season.
