-Like 11:00 am tipoff? Love it. Get up, play, and watch football rest of day.

-How about 38 by Brown? Amazing. Thought I'd go another couple years before I saw another 30 point performance after Wade's....and it was three games later. Bruce called TO when tied at 58, no momentum, and K-State goes on big run keyed by Brown. Once again, he refussed to lose. (I assume he was thinking back to WSU game).

-Thoughts on Cartier? Was calm. He knew Stokes was out at half at TT, and played much better 2nd half that game. I just think when you know your the man, you're more engaged. I like his game. Understands angles and has that little Eurostep. But, there's still a learning curve as teams will now start scouting his tendencies.

-OSU had won 19 straight against non-ranked teams, counting road games, so they do know how to take care of business. Was good win.

-Thoughts on KU game and ending last year? Well, since Huggins came to K-State and bring bball back to life, last year has been the only competitive game in Lawrence. So, track record is not there. But why not? I think K-State will have a little momentum after last year. Some benefit from that. No reason to be intimidated.

Jesse Newell:

-Thoughts on ISU game? Little unexpected. 16 point favorite, so more of a challenge than most expected. Believe it or not, was probably KU's best defensive effort, especially in second half.

-I still believe KU will be different team in second half of season with the additions (LOL), but now just trying to grind through it.

-Anything new on all that (as Nate gets all frustrated)? No. Really weird. Self thought one, maybe two, would be cleared before TCU game. But, KU turned in paperwork right before Christmas. So you have to remember that it took KU a month and a half for KU to get them the paperwork. So, must be pretty serious. As it sits now, it's basically a 16 game suspension for Preston so you'd think that would be enough. Has to be worrisome that it's pretty involved.

-Nate: Sosa has been cleared academically. So what's up? This is a normal process for NCAA. We just never hear about, becuase there's no focus on it in the summer. NCAA has to clear everyone each summer even after school admits someone.

-Jesse: I'm not sure it's all that bad about Sosa.....as I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll make. He'll never be in at end of the game. I think he'll be a foul/minute taker and that's it. But Preston....he's the key. He'd come it right away a be difference maker.

-Thoughts about tomorrow? Two things I look for whenever someone tries to beat KU at allen.....transition defense and defending the arc. K-State has been both good and bad at these at times this year, so who knows.

-I look for line to be around KU -9........and that's probably close to my thoughts.
