-What did you do last night? We stayed right by the San Francisco 49rs (Levi) stadium, so I found a way to get in and I and walked around and ventured down on the field.
-How will game go today? Excitement level is so high. Been a great season, but just not the same unless you win a tourney game. Kind of like going to a bowl game in football. Getting there is nice, but need to win.
-UCI has nice parts, good coaching, and knows how to win. Have some weapons. They play great defense, so if they get hot, they are hard to beat.
(Nate, with help of Stan, got everyone OT on soccer talk)
-SSJ: Feel so bad for Dean Wade. Kansas kid. Dreams of playing for K-State. Not once, but twice robbed of playing in tourney......how is he holding up? I'm just blown away on how Dean has handled this. Such high character. He was asked a few weeks ago what his favorite game at K-State was. Everyone anxiously awaited.......and he said Kentucky. I wanted to cry just a little. That's what K-State means to him. He picks the game he barely played in.
-K-State just has to deal with this. It makes this difficult. If we had Dean Wade, we'd win by double digits today. I have no doubt. What UCI does, if guard starts driving, their bigs build a wall inside. What's really open, along the baseline, is an open dunk. Wade would be passing to Mak all day long for dunks. Just like attacking a zone.....when Wade in there, it's no problem. It's kind of like playing Loyola Chicago last year. No Dean meant offense struggled.
-Nate: At least K-State has played without Dean Wade, so they have a little confidence, but they can also have a chip on their shoulder since everyone is picking against them....so, pretty good place to be isn't it? Yes, you said it well. Even the media out here is asking UCI how it feels to be everyone's pick. Everyone's telling both K-State and UCI players how good UCI is. There is no worry at all that anyone is overlooking UCI. None.
-UCI's bigs can cause troubles, but also K-State's four guards can cause them trouble. It'll come down to who will have to adjust. They (UCI) have not had to adjust to anything like that (4-guards) all year......so it'll be so interesting.
