-I feel great. Never take a ncaa tourney win for granted. But these three make it extra special.
-To me, this is more confirmation of this team and coach. I've seen it all year. Brown on defense, Bruce's coaching, etc. I'm too close to this team to be overly surprised.
-But, I'm on to next game and too much work to be done. Remember 2010? The celebration went on way too long. Weren't ready for Butler. Then, I remember 1988. Beat Purdue. I was looking for FF tickets. Everyone forgot sleep was important and that we had to get ready for Ku. So, for me, it's on to Loyola. They've only lost 5 games....and three of them were without Clayton Custer. They beat Florida. They basically lost 2 games all year.
-I've been around these BV kids all my life. They are winners.
-Quick turnaround, but how sweet would it be. K-State has lost it's last 6 elite eight games, so it's time.
-Also, for me, it's a celebration of Big 12 basketball. Look at tonight. Wow. I'm glad K-State is in the party.
-I was up till after 3:00 a.m. last night celebrating. Gene Taylor invited us up to room. Drank a little beer, getting to know ADGT better. He's got a much nicer suite....bar shut down....so had to go somewhere. No coaches, no players, nobody that matters for the game, but we were up to nearly 4:00 a.m. It was so nice of GT and it was a VERY nice room.
-How frustrating is this for Dean Wade? Well, I'm basing this on personal injuries. He took his shot, played, adrenaline was flowing.......but then he (foot) cooled down. And, just didn't cooperate. I don't look for him to play at all Saturday. I think the mindset now is, can he be ready should they make the final four.
