Very sorry, but I'm in pre-season form...and joined late. But, a couple comments I caught:
-I got feeling he thinks OL will not drop off at all, if any. He thought last year's group was "comfortable" and this year's group is hungrier.
-Thought they would be a more physical OL group.
-Said Trotter would start, but unprovoked mentioned Duece Vaughn and how dynamic he was.
-He mentioned how in the late 90's we had so many STUDS on the team.....just freaks walking around who would go on to NFL. He said that to set up his conversation about Kalid Duke. He said we have a definite star in the making.
-Said DT's were "coming along fine".......didn't sound like the strongest endorsement, but could be wrong.
-Briefly mentioned how we'd be fine at WR.........I didn't hear any talk about secondary or LB's (again, I was late).
-Finally, he said: "And what's it all really matter.....how much time do we think they've actually been thinking about football with everything going on." He said he didn't really know one way or the other, but that with that many kids on a team, there will be some who aren't fully engaged like you need to be.
