-Start with Royals talk. 1985 was my first year in KC. I grew up watching them win in the 70's and 80's....then 1985 was so special....I thought this would happen every year. But it's been 30 years. Amazing feeling.
-How about LT? Well, had composure to fight and claw out victory. This team, so far, reminds me of 2011. Found a way to win a ton of close games. Just reminds me of that year. And, it set up something special for 2012. So many people had to step up in order to win that game. Like I said before the game, it was such a dangerous game. LT is good, much better than their "name." That's why I said before it started that it was the most important game of the year.
-SSJ: 3rd and 16 in third OT....I re-winded that thing so many times....it was such a beautiful throw. How did that happen? First, coach made wrong call.....but he thought they might get a sack and get K-State out of FG range. He went for win right there. Hubener throws such a perfect strike. Huge momentum swing, BUT, they had already stolen momentum when he hit Heath for TD in first OT. So, wild game full of emotion and swings. Got win and developed confidence....that's the positive. And, they'll need it....because they'll be in a ton of close games this year.
