-Match-up between Bill Snyder's mind and Christian McCaffry's skill.

-If McCaffry gets in open field, comes down to basic football. Can we tackle. If not, going to be a long day. K-State's emphasis on zone vs. man principles helps in this game in that regard.

-Breakout players this season: Offense Ertz & Pringle; Defense Reed & Walker.

-On Ertz, can't even dream about how good he can be. We just don't know. Prior to Klein taking reigns, I knew he was going to be very good. I just don't have a feel on Ertz. He's been hurt in HS, hurt in college. He's fairly fast and has a supposedly good arm, but he's only been seen in spring game. We do know this....he's determined, a great leader, and has won the trust of Snyder.

-Charles Jones starting is a reflection of a young offensive line. Always in right place and great blocker. An indication that Snyder doesn't want to give up even one play in the game to a missed assignment.

-Other backs have more upside. Silmon and Warmack more explosive backs....and Barnes might be the best combination of any of them.

-If we start seeing the other backs in this game, it's a very good sign that Coach is pretty comfortable in their progression.

-Score? McCaffry 21, K-State 24. Final, Stanford 30, K-State 24. If K-State can keep McCaffry under 21, K-State can win. This is a great match-up for K-State.
