Took a look at how UTSA is doing, and I see some encouraging things. They showed significant improvement in his first year (last year), both in terms of wins (14), and in defensive statistics. They're sitting at 9-9 right now, so it remains to be seen whether he'll show another improvement in record. When I looked at his roster, there is not a senior among his top 6 scorers, and his two leading scorers are freshmen--one averaging 18.4 and the other 12.7. It would appear that he has injected some talent into the program, and is poised to improve the program some more over the next couple of years, based on experience alone. I had previously been skeptical about him as a replacement for HCBW, but my mind is a little more open than it was.
