8 or 9 games this season.
Yep, Saturday was hard to watch, but the CATS found a way to win.
In 2011, K-State needed to score 10 points including a late TD to beat Eastern Kentucky 10 to 7 in 2011.
The CATS went on to go 10 & 2 in the Big 12.
Granted, those were different circumstances, but it just shows you how a Bill Snyder coached team can improve during a season.
The CATS haven't exactly had good luck to begin the season either (in case you have forgotten).
Lose your starting QB on the first offensive play of the season (how does that happen).
Lose your quarterback on defense, Dante Barnett.
And then you have to call a game little differently to better protect your starting QB because your #2 QB is out for the season.
There are some good signs...
Defensive Line has been solid. Britz is a stud and Jordan Willis appears to coming into his own.
LB: Davis is solid, but love Lee... and Sizelove & Moore are getting some playing time.
DB: The CATS have quality depth in the D-backfield, which has already come into play.
Offense: Silmon is the real deal..
QB: if Hubener stays healthy, he will only continue to get better. No, he's not going to be a superstar, but he can do some good things and manage a game.
Biggest Concerns:
WR: catch the ball (made some big catches on Saturday, but had some drops ).
OL: right side is below average. I'm still surprised that Kleinsorge is better than AJ Harris.
Bottom Line: we will know a lot more about K-State in 2 weeks, when the CATS roll into Stillwater. Perhaps, I will have a different opinion in 2 weeks. Okie State is the fork in the road game for K-State's season.
GO STATE !!
