Among my subscriptions is The Athletic (which has been awesome btw). Each week, they look at the leaders in stop rate. This isn't exactly a surprise given their opposition, but Vandy is at the top.
Figured a lot of posters don't subscribe, so included Max Olson's graphic from Twitter. For those curious, K-State is No. 22 in the country with a 77.3% stop rate, allowing 1.18 points per drive.
I think this is a decent defense, and will interesting to see if we open up the playbook (I think we will) to incorporate more misdirection and pulling plays on the ground. This might be especially important because, as Snyder mentioned yesterday, they do some funky stuff with their linebackers and edge rushers.
