Republicans have been falling all over themselves for years in an attempt to prove that voter fraud is a very real thing and we have to impose strict voter identification and purge actions to ensure the sanctity of American elections. This in spite of the fact there has never been shown wide scale fraud and revealing (by some in the GOP) the reason isn't some altruistic belief but a cynical attempt to disenfranchise normally D voters.
Now we have the CIA saying that Russia is behind tampering with the US election in an attempt to sway it. Many of those in the GOP refuse to acknowledge this, seemingly siding with Russia over our own intelligence. Those same GOPers adamantly opposed recount efforts in several states to see if there was evidence of fraud. The hypocrisy since Trump took the GOP mantel for the election has been sickening and this may be the most egregious case - defending the actions of an enemy because you liked the results.
Of course, that enemy is also someone the GOP mocked Obama with for years because they see (sorry: saw, since he's on their team now) him as the most serious threat in the world - now suddenly he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
