The big 12 really laid an egg this bowl season. TTech was the only winner. TCU did beat Michigan but were certainly non competitive in the championship game. Herbstreit implied near the end of the game that the big 12 isn’t ready to play against the SEC. We didn’t look good in our bowl game and TCU didn’t look good tonight. So it is hard to argue the point. Of course when some of the best players in the country are going to the “elite” teams it is hard to compete. There isn’t a level playing field but I don’t have any idea in how to change it.
