In regards to the men's basketball team, I think the key here is are the players passionate enough about wanting to be better with the current leadership of the program?
While I understand the apologists who desire Weber to have another year, and that is fair, the key I truly believe is the next 6 games. If this team continues to come out with little passion than we can say for the second year in a row, Bruce Weber has lost the players in the men's basketball program for Kansas State university. It won't matter if Xavier Sneed comes in, James Love or the Diarra kid that signs, if the passion is gone again, it will be this way at this time again next year.
I think we all should just sit back, watch the final 6 games and watch the players more than the coaches. The players responses on and coming off the court speaks volumes. I say this because I had real concerns when I remember it was written that Weber contacted Dean Wade and Kamau Stokes parents to try and get them to motivate their child. That is a major concern of mine when a parent sends their child off to school with you and you can't seem to motivate them. Red flags, major red flags. To me it is simple -- why do you need the parent to motivate their 18, 19-year-old child who is away at college?
