Feel the heat is on the KSU coaching staff now after West Virginia loss. The game really shouldn't have come down to a 43 yard FG attempt. West Virginia very fortunate to win. 2 converted 4th down plays. Miss on either of these KSU wins. FG made--KSU wins. Other than the 2 long pass plays WV offense did very little that was impressive.

The repeated delay of game/time out usage is beyond belief. Sure, a few times in a season or with an important play, I could see this arising. BUT ON THE FIRST PLAY OF A DRIVE/HALF??? And multiple times in EACH game??? And this problem has been persistent for multiple years. Why is it still not addressed???

Regardless, the WV game was considered a toss up game. KSU lost the game but it was the way that they lost that is very troubling. A Tech win is essential for KSU to have a successful season (defined as 6+ wins). A loss and the pressure on the staff increases. Even with a win--if KSU coaching staff is unable to correct the horrendous time management issues the heat will only increase.

There is speculation that HCBS is no longer "running things". If true, and the persistent problems do not get corrected, I feel that the pressure for the AD to force a move by HCBS will continue to grow. Hopefully, KSU wins this weekend and looks much more polished.
