1) In the late 90's and early 00's. LHCBS and his staff simply outworked other coaches in game prep. I would think it's a safe bet they watched more film than anybody. The last five years, with digital technology and 'tendencies' software, a couple of grad assistants can break down plays in any category a coach could want. And get a report on what a team tends to do on 3rd and 8 or what a defense tends to do when the other team has 3rd and 8. Outworking another staff is much more difficult.
2) We used to be able to 'hide' recruits. Not anymore. They want to put every offer out on Twitter and/or FB. Then recruiting sites report it. No more 'quiet' recruiting thanks to technology.
3) Have no idea if this is fact but I suspect we interact digitally with recruits less than most if not all conference foes. That's how kids communicate these days.
