Have the Aggies cooled off since the 'battle for atlantis" ?
After playing well in the "battle for atlantis" -- knocking off Texas and getting a 1 point win over Gonzaga... and playing Syracuse close before falling by 7 points, the Aggies have not been impressive.
Not that the Florida Gulf Coast game was ever in doubt, but a ranked team should be able to win that game by more than 10 points at home (that said, K-State only beat South Carolina State by 2 at home...ha).
The Aggies were not very competitive in a 13 point loss to Arizona State. Granted the SunDevils are a good team, but the Aggies were never in the game. At one point, I believe ASU was up 25 points in the game.
The Aggies did not have a mid week game and will be hungry for a win to get back on track.
So how good are the CATS ?
If not for some untimely turnovers at the end of the game agaisnt NC, the CATS could be undefeated (woulda, coulda, shoulda).
Georgia was a nice 'road' win, but the Bulldogs don't look like a tournament team this year (at least not at this point in time).
I really don't have a good feel for how the game with TAMU will go tomorrow.
A win or loss against A&M "could" end up being a determining factor as to rather K-State is on the outside or the inside of the bubble come March. BIG GAME.
GO STATE !!
