Has directly led to:

- A historic, solidified, conference of 8 state schools on the Great Plains merging with 4 Texas schools

- When Arkansas left the SWC, and the conference began to crumble, Texas looked at many conferences, including the PAC & Big 8

- At the time, expansion was a brilliant move, for viable & strong conferences....it still is.

- The SWC was bankrupt and in trouble with the NCAA, largely due to the culture of football in Texas

- A&M and UT were the only schools the Big8 wanted to add

- Tech is a large state school with potential but Baylor was nothing more than the alma mater of Governor Richards

- That same Texas culture poisoned the well of the newly formed BigXII from Day 1

- An each man for himself attitude from the old SWC perverted the cohesive Big8.

- Conference offices were moved to Dallas, football officiating crews were largely based out of Texas

- Over the years, through multiple commissioners, Texas spearheaded the effort to block a conference TV network....all while our peers in the B1GTen, SEC, and PAC were working towards networks and ultimately expanding & growing their footprints.

- The formation of LHN and the ultimate refusal of a BigXII network led to an unstable atmosphere.

- The B1GTen created perceived instability by toying with Mizzou and ultimately landed a bigger fish in Nebraska.

- The PAC smelled blood and immediately picked off Colorado.

- The SEC picked off an original Big 8 Mizzou and a monster program in Texas A&M

- Texas, much like in the days of the SWC, decided to wait it out as long as possible. Both to grasp unto LHN and explore possible options, knowing they have a safe landing spot & not caring about the conference itself

- We patched a Band-Aid on the conference by adding a state with a million less people than Kansas and a small, private, school already in the conference footprint.

- Now schools such as K-State, KU, oSu, Tech, Baylor, and Iowa State will have to sweat out the next round of conference realignment...all while schools like Wazzu, Oregon State, Cal, Utah, Indiana, Purdue, Kentucky, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Duke, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Boston College, Maryland, and Rutgers are all in fine shape....DIRECTLY DUE TO CONFERENCE LEADERSHIP

- K-State has a "bigger piece of the pie" for a few short years, while the thing is taped together....all while the SEC and other conference move into the future.

- Every school, save Oklahoma, that has a viable option other than Texas' hind-tit has left the conference.

- The possibility of replacing Nebraska, Mizzou, Colorado, and A&M with the likes of UConn, Memphis, Cincinnati, and Colorado State is a legitimate discussion point!!!!! Sickening.

- Or, as seems to be the preference of Texas, stand pat while the things disintegrates even farther.
