The blown travel was bad (not unexpected at all but still bad) BUT the defense and rebounding was pathetic. You don't win many basketball games giving up 90+ points.
The last play was very indicative of our on ball defense tonight. Let a guy go the entire length of the floor straight to the basket for a layup. Got beat on straight line drives ALL night. When we came to help with a big they either dished or got a wide open back side rebound and stick back.
KU obviously wasn't much better defensively.
I assume DJ was trying not to get into foul trouble but he was pretty poor tonight. Didn't rebound much at all. Wade never rebounds very well so when DJ doesn't we get killed on the glass. KU shot open 3's all night but alot of that was due to such poor on ball defense and having to help and getting out of position.
Just a LITTLE better defense and rebounding and we pull of a huge resume building upset. BUT NO, same ol same ol, play pretty well and come up short against KU.
