K-State played poorly offensively against Vandy, but for the love of Willie, our WRs could not catch critical first down passes. Never mind having 2 TDs called back (both were weak, but the fumble reversal was ridiculous).
And now Ertz is injured. Jesse looked to be around 75% against Texas.
Gotta believe that a healthy Jesse would have been worth at least 1 more point.
Never mind the two holding calls in OVERTIME, the second one was a complete joke.
Depending upon how Delton performs, fans will either be questioning why Delton did not play more against Texas (and are excited about next week) -OR- fans will be clamming for Skylar Thompson to play.
Why ....why .... why = K-State "should" be undefeated and ranked in the Top 10.
But the Ball has not bounced K-State's way.
Oh, I left out the fact that K-State's play calling has been a head-scratcher at times this season.
K-State's playoff hopes were all but over when the CATS lost at Vandy, but there was a glimmer of hope if K-State could run the table in the Big12. Okay, seems funny now.
Whereas the Texas game seemed like a Fork-In-the-Road game, the TCU game is now bigger.
Beat the Frogs and all of a sudden the season is exciting again. A win over TCU would put the CATS back into Big 12 title consideration, but most importantly the players would receive a big shot of confidence. And it's fair to say, if K-State beats TCU, Delton must have played a good game.
Unfortunately, if you look at how TCU and K-State have been playing this season, it's hard to believe that the CATS will win.
Lose against TCU and 6 wins becomes the new team goal.
I wish that I felt good about K-State's chances this Saturday, but I don't.
GO STATE !
