It sounds like it is false that he will be the editor/publisher here.. was this something floated out there in order to get people rustled and switch over to the other place? Does anybody know the real story here?
I'm kind of fascinated and impressed with the new staff coming out guns blazing. I'm also kind of shocked that Fitz would make this move. He spent years and years building up a huge loyal base here. I'm sure there are tons of people that have signed up over the years and are casual/occasional lurkers and won't have any interest in changing or even realize the change in staff for a while. You then also have a segment of this board that won't have any idea what's happened and may not change either. I would be shocked if the other site has near the subscriber base that this site currently has. Risky move from what I see, but as others have mentioned maybe there's tangible reasons for his move that we aren't aware of. Basing the move off being dissatisfied with the platform wouldn't be a smart move at least in my opinion. I think I'll stick with this site for a bit as I enjoy lurking on the main board and all it's glory. Not sure if I'll take a dip in the new pond.. interesting times ahead, but I think the competition in the end will be good for cat fans. Really looking forward to what the new staff here brings.. good start!
