I predicted a win over TCU. At half time of that game I was really looking forward to bumping my prediction thread, but alas, I was left with a moral victory. SO CLOSE!
For the same reasons that I predicted a TCU win, I see the Cats winning this game. Add in the uncertainty of a freshman QB, regardless of his rivals stars, it is the perfect scenario for everything to come together for the Cats. Some people have stated that the coaches have lost the players, but I don't think so. After watching the players speak following the Texas game, I saw some players that are hungry to finish the season strong. Our guys know that Baylor is the cap to an extremely brutal stretch of games, and the rest of the season really hinges on this game.
I think Baylor comes in overconfident, looking past the Cats to the college football playoffs and they run into a buzz saw of determination, flying to the ball, fundamentally sound, winning the special teams and turnovers battle, Wildcat team.
We've got a week to wait. No one expects the Cats to win. Perfect recipe for Bill Snyder to pull off yet one more improbable underdog victory.
