Little things. Penalties, questionable play calling, bad execution (big gaffs in secondary).

This is all cliche by now, but this team is not lacking talent. We have the horses to be 8-1 at this point, just shoot ourselves in the foot way too much. I say "we" as both players and coaches, but ultimately, it lays at the feet of this coaching staff. Not putting away opponents in the 4th quarter isn't about "want to" or "killer instinct", it's about strategy and execution.

I called for 7-5 this season, protecting home turf, improving and building momentum for a nice season next year. Even with Baylor & TCU 's issues, there's about a 90% chance this squad goes 6-6 again. I will reserve judgement until early December, but if we stumble to 6-6, we need to clean house with the key assistants. Possibly bring an an OC or DC as HCIW. I don't think that's likely.

Frustrating as hell, let's keep rooting on this squad and see if they can pull something off and salvage this season somehow!
