The Ladies have now moved up to 3-3 in Conference with 2 conference road wins.
Currently we have 1 bad home loss to Northern Iowa, 1 great road win at West Virginia and a really solid home win against ranked Oklahoma State.
The team is starting to form a new identity since Lewis and Weseman graduated. Sophomore Peyton Williams is back to full time Basketball (she played Volleyball for Fritz this fall) and is averaging 13.5 points with 7.3 rebounds. The freshman Ranke has made 50 threes this year (shooting 36%) with a 2 to 1 assist ratio and is averaging 12.2 points per game. Adjustments have been made since Middlebrook has been injured and Junior Guard Kayla Goth is playing really good basketball 49.3% FG getting 16.4 points per game. So the top 3 scorers should be back next year with some highly touted recruits showing up next year.
I believe that this team should make the tournament again as the schedule gets easier after a ferocious start and they are a young team that is improving a lot. They have work to do on their RPI but I think it should work itself out over the next few weeks as they contine conference play.
