Omaha was picked to finish fourth in the Summit League.
Omaha beat a decent UC Santa Barbara team by 14 points on the road to open their season.
The UCSB Gauchos won 19 games last season (played in the Vegas tourney that K-State supposedly passed on).
The Mavericks could not get it done in LA and lost by 10 to USC. Omaha lead USC in the second half, but the Trojans rallied and won by 10.
I don’t know what USC has back this year, but the Trojans played in the NCAA tourney last season, lost by 1 point against Providence in the first round.
In short, Omaha does not appear to be a bunch of chumps, but I will be disappointed if K-State doesn’t win by double digits (hopefully by 15 or more).
